For this project, we had the great pleasure of combining our passion for gastronomic spaces and places with history. We renovated the buffet at Club Ateneo Félix Marino, a prominent neighborhood club in Villa Devoto, which was redefining its culinary proposal and reinforcing its identity.
Our design is a complement that accompanies the social and sporting spirit of a neighborhood club without creating contrasts. The aim was to create a space that represents the values of the Devoto neighborhood—one of austere, elegant, and reserved airs.
This is why the chromatic palette is sober and the materials are noble, generally featuring neutral and light tones; dark and warm tones are reserved for the details. Wood, iron, and leather are combined harmoniously to generate a general sense of timeless quality.
As a meeting place within a sports context, we suggested the concept of the old porteño neighborhood clubs, reinforcing it with sporting elements that evoke the era. It is a nod to nostalgia among the older generations and a call to curiosity for the younger ones.
Inside the hall, the wooden bar welcomes guests, as does its adjacent furniture piece that functions as a shelving unit, storage area, and waitstaff station. All the furniture, including the tables and chairs, are the originals from the club's first buffet. We restored and renovated them, which is a very characteristic part of our work.
The entire semi-covered area invites members and clients to relax in the gallery's lounge areas that balcony out toward the tennis courts and the pool.
Please stop by and enjoy the delicacies served at @elbuffetdelfelix within the framework of our design.
